Why see a specialist for my symptoms?

The symptoms you experience may indicate an underlying vascular condition. Left untreated, vascular disorders can lead to serious health complications.

Certain conditions, such as varicose veins, can rupture and bleed. They can also lead to blood clots in the deep veins (deep vein thrombosis, or DVT), which can result in a pulmonary embolism (a clot in the lung).

Other conditions may increase one's risk of getting a stroke.

Timely evaluation allows for prompt treatment and improved long-term outcomes.
